Usage

The EKOPAL liquid is used as a medium to test the flow-through piston gauges at fuel dispensers. The liquid is very suitable for degreasing and preservation of metallic components of the fuel dispensers in course of their manufacture as well as for fuel tanks leakage tests at petrol / service stations. The liquid may be used throughout the year.

General characteristics

The EKOPAL liquid is a mixture of hydrocarbons with a direct chain predominantly, C count 10 – 13, refined by an additive to improve its performance. It is a clear liquid without visible water content, mechanical impurities and insoluble in water. It may contain an organic coloring matter. It is an inflammable Class III according to STN 65 0201.

Packaging and storage

The EKOPAL liquid is available in barrels, containers, tankers or other containers, within an agreement with the customer. Store in tightly closed tanks, barrels on sites protected from weather influence at temperatures -10 through +30 °C. Shelf life is max. 2 years from the date of production.

Work safety and health protection

According to the toxicological tests, the EKOPAL liquid is harmless with regard to the acute oral and acute dermal toxicity. As to its direct impact on human skin, the primary dermal irritability and primary eye irritability was not observed. Since the test for chromosomal mutation is positive, the product is classified as mutagenic substance. Do not eat, drink and smoke at work. Void any direct contact with skin and mucosa through wearing of personal protective equipment. As to its environmental impact, the liquid contains compounds very hardly decomposing in nature, it harms the water quality and presents a danger for aquatic animals.
